If you want a place that serves amazing Sangria, has a killer patio and pretty great Mexican food, you have to try Macho Radio Bar. Located in the fort York area, this place is jam-packed every day and has a great vibe if you’re grabbing a drink with friends or just wanting to catch the Raptors game. It just recently opened a few months ago and it’s already a hot spot in the city.
WHAT TO GET
The menu is packed with some really good options – from flatbread, to tacos, to guacamole and nachos! I tried a few of their popular dishes. I Started with the a Macho Fries, which featured cheese, green goddess aoli, cilantro, quest, jalapeño and chipotle salsa. They were to DIE for. I couldn’t just eaten the fries and been satisfied.
I also tried the Mex Flatbread which has chorizo, refrained beans, quest, jalapeños, lettuce, cilantro, onion and avocado aoli. Yes, my mouth was watering just writing that! It was delicious. the bread was almost like a naan texture which made it that much more delicious! A must try.
The sangria was unreal. It was delicious. They don’t add sugar to their sangria but it’s still perfectly sweet. I’d go here for a good variety of Mexican apps and flavours. It was a great addition to already thrilling Mexican food.
If you’re in the area, give it a try! It a place I’ll definitely go back to.
