BAJA FISH AND CAMARONES A LA DIABLA TACOS
I’m sharing with you one of my best kept secrets – the best tacos in Toronto. I’ve tried tacos all over the city even when I’ve travelled the world, and Seven Lives has yet to get knocked off the top spot. What started out a food truck company soon turned into a jam-packed little taco join in the heart of Kensington Market.
Their portions are more than fair, it’s a cheap eat at $5 a tacos (taxes included). Just remember to bring cash as its cash only.
Although I’ve tried all of what the menu has to offer, my favourite taco on the menu is Camarones a la Diabla (spicy shrimp with cheese). They load up the shrimp and gooey cheese, it’s almost orgasmic how delicious they are. I usually regret not getting two of these! The Baja Fish taco is also amazing, which comes with an oversized piece of deep fried mahi mahi fish. They also offer a catch of the day which is always great to try. These tacos are so hearty two tacos is more than enough! A cool $10 and you’re stuffed.
They don’t have much sitting room so be prepared to get your meal to go or stuff your face on their standing only ledges. Make sure to take a fork with you if you get it to go because these bad boys are so loaded with goodness that you’ll probably end up messy, with half your taco falling out into your plate.
I Highly HIGHLY recommend you try this awesome place out. Look for the red awning on Kensington St as they have little to no signage! (A way to keep the best kept secret in Toronto hidden!)
